An Introduction to The Eaters of Light

Today, we find out what happened to the ninth legion of the Roman army, a group of soldiers lost to the mists of Scotland…
To whet your appetite for The Eaters of Light, here’s showrunner, Steven Moffat introducing the episode.

Yep, this is the first time a writer from the Classic series has written for the 2005- present show. Rona Munro’s previous effort was the superb Survival, starring the Seventh Doctor and Ace, as played by Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred, and we hear The Eaters of Light is just as good. Here’s Peter Capaldi and Pearl Mackie, the Twelfth Doctor and Bill Potts respectively, talking about the story.

As if that weren’t enough, we’ve got a lovely image gallery for you to enjoy too. Picts! Romans! The Doctor looking all growly! Nardole in a dressing gown! What else could you wish for?

The Eaters of Light airs on BBCOne tonight at the slightly earlier time of 6:45pm.
