And here we are: the second part of our lockdown trilogy of quizzes.
How did you do with part one? Too easy? Too obscure? Or just too easy to argue the point – isn’t that what fandom is for? Here are some more to chew the fat over. Just as long as it’s not bat fat. Too soon? Sorry.

#1. In which story do we find the dialogue, “The Age of Man is over. The Age of the Virus has begun”?
#2. What year did the Daleks launch their pre-invasion plague on the Earth? ? Remember it's *pre*-invasion.
Take a breath… The Doctor finds a calendar in a desk drawer in a warehouse that the dialogue states “hasn’t been used for years.” It says 2164; a nice round 200 years after broadcast date. But presumably years out of date. In the broadcast dialogue of The Daleks’ Master Plan, the Doctor states it was 2157 the Daleks invaded. In the dialogue of this story, Craddock says the plague began about 10 years before present day – which is sometime after 2164. So the setting for the story could be 2167, with the plague launched as the first stage in the invasion the Doctor mentions in Master Plan.
(If you’re unsettled by this, it could be set in 2174 as the Eighth Doctor Adventures books say, with the calendar marking the 10-years-ago invasion date – in which case 2164 would be correct!)
#3. Which race made the Doctor an honorary noble for helping them find a cure for plague?
#4. Which race caused the Plague in 1665?
#5. Which companion accidentally spreads a plague on her first encounter with an alien race?
#6. In Doctor Who and the Silurians, which of these guest stars does NOT die (spectacularly) of the plague?
#7. Which of these has not been described as plague in Doctor Who?
Digested microplastic was the carrier for the virus called Praxeus, but no one actually describes plastic as a plague. The Morpheus ‘condensed’ sleep virus, described as ‘germs’ ‘spores’ and ‘infection,’ turned out to be a electronic signal embedded in the broadcast. Grief was a plague in Smile, and physical injury was a plague in The Empty Child/ The Doctor Dances.
#8. Which of these stories does NOT feature androids, and plague, and the Doctor locked up?
#9. In which of these stories does a ‘plague’ actually turn out to be poison?
#10. In which Series 2 episode do we hear that the Bad Wolf Virus has wiped out all Torchwood files on the Doctor and Rose?
#11. In The Vampires of Venice, the city is in quarantine ostensibly because of the plague. Why is the Doctor suspicious?
It was Rory who smelt something fishy.
#12. What is the name of the plague that affects two-hearted races in The Girl Who Waited?
#13. What is NOT unusual about the tech virus in Orphan 55?
Although computer virus creators are usually written as male, so you might say this one is unusual too.
