Out Now: Charity Book, Zygon — Outer-Space Diaries, Raising Money for Cancer Research UK

A new book, The Zygon Outer-Space Diaries, is out now and raises much-needed funds for Cancer Research UK.

The book spins off from Terror of the Zygons, and looks at how the shape-shifting race came to be interested in Earth, and also weaves in plot elements from their 21st Century appearances too. The really cool thing, however, is that it’s told in the style of an old 1970s/80s annual, resulting in a mix of text tales, comics, puzzles, and informative features on Zygon culture — plus ads!

The Zygon Outer-Space Diaries is edited by the brilliant Paul Cooke, prolific cover artist on the Lethbridge-Stewart range.

It’s been three years in the making, and features contributions from a range of top talent including Martin Geraghty (Doctor Who Magazine), Nick Abadzis (Titan’s The Tenth Doctor Adventures), Adrian Salmon (cover artist on Lethbridge-Stewart: The Schizoid Earth), Andy Walker (The Doctor Who Storybook), Trevor Baxendale (Something Inside), and Andrew-Mark Thompson (cover artist on Iris Wildthyme and the Polythene Terror).

Abadzis says:

“Paul won’t shout about his monumental achievement in conceiving the project and co-ordinating the various contributions from many professional Doctor Who spin-off alumni, but I will. Holding the finished book in my hands, I’m blown away by the love and care that’s gone into it. If you are a fan of Who literature and print media, please believe me, this is a sumptuous tome you’ll want to add to your library. And, did I mention, it’s for an excellent cause?”
