You can pre-order the newly-unveiled steelbook of Doctor Who Series 6 now.

The Blu-ray follows the sell-out success of previous NuWho series on steelbook – that is, Series 1 to 5, so far, plus the 2009 specials. Series 6 features artwork by Sophie Cowdrey, capturing a few key images from the run of stories, including the Eleventh Doctor’s longer jacket and stetson, the threat of the Silence and Madame Kovarian, and Idris, aka. the TARDIS, from The Doctor’s Wife.

Here’s the synopsis:

The Doctor returns, alongside newlyweds Amy and Rory, to face monsters and mysteries and adventures all across time and space. Together they find themselves in Sixties America, battling the invasion the world forgot, then journey on the high seas of 1696 aboard a pirate ship, to solve the mystery of the Siren.

In a bubble universe at the very edge of reality, the Doctor meets an old friend with a new face, and in a monastery on a remote island in the near future, an industrial accident takes on a terrible human shape. And waiting for them, at the end of all this, is the battle of Demon’s Run, and the Doctor’s darkest hour. Can even the truth about River Song save the Time Lord’s soul? Only two things are certain. We expect the steelbook to include every episode from A Christmas Carol to The Wedding of River Song.

The season includes much-loved stories like The Impossible Astronaut/ Day of the Moon, A Good Man Goes to War, and The Girl Who Waited.

The Doctor Who Series 6 limited edition steelbook is priced at £29.99, and will be released on 10th August 2020. These tend to sell out quickly, so if you intend to buy one, try to get your order in before its release date.
