A new 14-disc boxset collecting together David Tennant’s time as the Tenth Doctor will be released on Blu-ray in America next month.
Doctor Who: The Complete David Tennant Collection includes 48 episodes of the series, from 2005’s The Christmas Invasion to 2009/2010’s The End of Time. That means his only appearance in the show, barring flashbacks, not featured in the collection is the 50th anniversary special, The Day of the Doctor (2013).
The set was previously released on DVD only in 2011.
These stories will be presented at 1.78:1 aspect ratio in 1080p resolution with DTS-D Master Audio 5.1 sound – it means most of the tales will be upscaled to HD as the first regular episode of Doctor Who filmed in genuine HD was Planet of the Dead (2009).
The really surprising – yet wonderful – thing, however, is its price. Though its RRP is $71.69, Amazon.com currently has it for an astounding $34.99.
Extras for the set are still to be announced, but we’d hope it comes with all the standard commentaries, documentaries, shorts, and Doctor Who Confidential instalments as usual.
Doctor Who: The Complete David Tennant Collection is out on 17th September 2019 in the USA.
