The Standard Edition of the Fourteenth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver Is Available (Good Luck Finding It)

Following a special edition release, Character Options has released a standard edition of the Fourteenth Doctor sonic screwdriver, but right now, many of the major toy outlets have already sold out. That means that you’ll still be able to find it, but your best bet is through local stores, eBay, and Amazon third parties. Which is kind of good news — it means both that Doctor Who‘s still as popular as ever, and that we can support smaller retailers by buying from them!

The SSP (that’s Suggested Selling Price) is £14.99, so don’t pay too far over this. We expect Character Options to release more units closer to the 60th anniversary.

Because yes, this is the sonic screwdriver that David Tennant’s Fourteenth Doctor will use in the three specials, The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, and The Giggle, later this year.

Here’s Character’s spiel:

The Doctor has regenerated, and he has a new Sonic screwdriver! Accompanying David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor in the 60th Anniversary specials, this sonic has a new but familiar form, just like the Doctor!

Character Options is proud to present the new Sonic screwdriver in toy form! It features light and sound FX as well as an opening and extending action – all operated from a single button on the handle.

The sonic comes beautifully presented in special anniversary packaging and is the perfect addition to any fans collection. Age: 5+

Battery Requirements: Requires 3 x 1.5V A76/AG13/LR44 Button Cell Batteries. (Demonstration Batteries Included).

The sonic has hints of previous ones, including the Eleventh Doctor’s.

It was revealed on Twitter on 19th July 2023.

Will you be getting your own? Or waiting for the inevitable Fifteenth Doctor sonic toy? Or getting both?!
