Last updated 7 July 2026

Your data is yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and how we keep it safe.

1. Who we are

Pillr ("Pillr", "we", "us") operates the website pillr.org and the Pillr social-post generation service. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have. If you have questions, contact us through pillr.org.

2. Information we collect

Account details: your email address and authentication data when you sign in.

Firm content: the website URL you submit and the public content we read from it to learn your brand voice, together with the posts and images Pillr generates for you.

Connections: tokens and account identifiers for the social platforms you choose to connect (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), used only to publish or schedule the posts you approve.

Billing details: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card number.

Usage data: basic logs about how the service is used, to keep it running and secure.

3. How we use your data

To provide the service: read your website, generate posts and visuals, and publish or schedule the content you approve.

To manage billing, subscriptions, and allowances.

To support you, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use the content of your posts to train third-party models.

4. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), on the basis of our legitimate interests (running and improving Pillr securely), and with your consent where required, such as connecting a social account.

5. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted processors to run Pillr: Supabase (database and authentication), OpenRouter (text and image generation), Firecrawl (reading your website), Zernio (publishing to social platforms), and Stripe (payments). Each processes data only to provide their part of the service.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and generated content while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through pillr.org. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure.

With your consent, we also use first-party analytics cookies (pillr_consent, pillr_vid, pillr_sid) to understand page visits, referrers, device type, country, and conversion events such as sign-up, generation, onboarding, and demo clicks. Declining analytics cookies does not affect the service.

We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.

Cookie choices

We use first-party analytics cookies to understand visits and improve Pillr. No ad tracking.
